Jordan P. Wright, Regional Manager of Construction 
Medxcel

Jordan Wright is a seasoned construction leader with more than 25 years of experience delivering complex commercial and healthcare projects, including greenfield developments, AHCA-regulated facilities, and major infrastructure upgrades. As Regional Manager of Construction for Medxcel (Ascension), he oversees teams supporting eight hospitals across Florida, from Jacksonville to Pensacola. 

A graduate of the University of Florida and a State of Florida Certified General Contractor, Jordan has been recognized with multiple ABC Excellence in Construction awards. He is known for driving high-quality outcomes, fostering collaboration, and building trusted partnerships across the industry.

Matthew Bode, AIA, Executive Director of Planning, Design & Construction
Baptist Health System

With 25 years of experience in healthcare architecture, Matthew Bode has dedicated his career to shaping environments that support effective and efficient care. As a healthcare planner and former firm principal, he has led projects across the spectrum of healthcare facilities, including the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center in Phoenix and the 5-million-square-foot Special Forces Medical Center in Riyadh. His work with clients such as Cleveland Clinic and UPMC positioned him as a trusted advisor, helping executive teams make both immediate and long-term, value-based decisions.

Since 2019, Matthew has served as Executive Director of Design & Construction at Baptist Health System in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, he partners with executives on strategic initiatives, guides building design, develops standards, expands team capacity, and modernizes processes for facility utilization. He earned his architecture degree from The Ohio State University and is a licensed Florida architect.

Mark J. Thiele, AIA, Section Head – Facilities, Planning & Design
Mayo Clinic

Mark launched his architecture career as an intern with Jan Hochstim, AIA, while completing his five-year bachelor’s degree at the University of Miami. Over the years, he contributed to award-winning projects with leading Florida firms, including Harvard-Jolly, Spillis Candella, and Gresham Smith. He later opened the Jacksonville office for VOA Associates before running his own practice for 12 years. Since 2010, Mark has served with Mayo Clinic, where he plays a key role in facilities planning and design, contributing to innovative and complex projects while providing design leadership.

A lifelong Jacksonville resident, Mark is married to his high school sweetheart and enjoys time with their four children and three grandchildren. Deeply committed to service, he is active with several not-for-profit Christian organizations and values time spent with family and community as much as his professional work.

Kelly Hoover, System Director, Construction, Facilities & Real Estate
Brooks Rehab

A Jacksonville native, Kelly F. Hoover has dedicated two decades to advancing Brooks Rehabilitation’s facilities and infrastructure. A graduate of the University of North Florida’s Health Administration program, she blends deep industry knowledge with a strategic vision for the organization’s growth and development.

Her expertise spans facilities management, real estate, capital budgeting, and healthcare design and construction. She has successfully overseen the construction of more than 40 outpatient therapy clinics, a 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital on Brooks’ Bartram campus, multiple phased hospital renovations, and the development of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.

Throughout her career, Kelly has led high-impact initiatives that consistently deliver environments designed to enhance patient care and support Brooks Rehabilitation’s mission.

Rafi Wartan, Regional Director
TLC Engineering Solutions

As the Regional Director for TLC Engineering Solutions’ North Florida / Georgia / Charlotte Operations, Rafi oversees technical project excellence and staff supervision. He has over 30 years of experience in the engineering industry. Rafi received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Jacksonville University. He has extensive engineering design experience in healthcare facilities, including new hospitals, patient towers, master planning, medical office buildings, numerous renovations, surgery centers, emergency departments and various other healthcare projects.
